Among the demands made by these executives are calls for so-called Red Flag laws and magazine capacity restrictions. What exactly makes these individuals experts on firearms or laws pertaining to them is unclear - but in the wake of Walmart’s recent anti-gun policy, it seems that denouncing lawful gun owners and the Second Amendment is currently in vogue.
Below is an excerpt from the aforementioned letter.
"As leaders of some of America's most respected companies and those with significant business interests in the United States, we are writing to you because we have a responsibility and obligation to stand up for the safety of our employees, customers and all Americans in the communities we serve across the country. Doing nothing about America's gun violence crisis is simply unacceptable and it is time to stand with the American public on gun safety,"
The letter has the support of the CEOs of dozens of major companies like Dicks Sporting Goods, Twitter and Reddit. But the most interesting sponsor and co-signer of the letter, is the brother of Jared Kushner, Joshua Kushner.
Which shouldn’t be surprising given Jared’s history of supporting anti-gun protests and organizations. Still, it is surely disheartening for 2A-supporters to see major company execs collaborating to disarm the populace and undermine the Constitution.
