The combined efforts of anti-gun zealot Micheal Bloomberg and his puppet organization, Everytown for Gun Safety, secured Democratic control of Virginia’s executive and legislative branches for the first time in decades.

According to CNN, the outspoken anti-Second Amendment billionaire spent $2.5 million in his efforts to swing the state. This comes after Trump pleaded with VA voters to back Republican nominees like Geary Higgins.

But some are already asking why the President was supporting Republican candidates in Virginia alone, given that the NRA resides in the state. This, especially given Everytown’s and Bloomberg’s repeated, flagrant anti-2A efforts. With the duo even compiling misleading fake statistics to persuade American to give up their modern sporting rifles.

Firearms News reached out to the NRA requesting an official response and inquired about how the NRA intended to respond - but at the time of this article hasn’t received a reply.

With Virginia turning blue at the hands of an anti-gun group, it begs the question, “what’s next?” Will Virginia inherit the draconian gun laws of other Bloomberg-influenced states like Nevada, New Jersey, Florida, and Vermont, or does the NRA have a plan of action?

Hopefully so, as it’s likely the left will attempt the same successful strategy in Texas. Especially given the shifting demographics of the state as more leftists flee the hellholes their previous policies created. Meaning pro gunners need to stand up in those states and have their voices heard if they wish to preserve the Second Amendment for their children.

The lack of 2A victories in several states has many gun owners wondering if this defeat is the final straw in cementing the NRA as a Hunting / LE firearms training entity over a 2A lobby group? Given the countless millions their members pledge, it is not unreasonable to ask what this money is being spent on.

Furthermore, the normally overly vocal President Trump has yet to make an official statement or even a tweet about Virginia turning blue or about the risk to Virginians’ Second Amendment rights. None of this bodes well for supporters of the Second Amendment or Republicans in general - but hopefully it will serve as a wakeup call to complacent voters.
