The Ross Management Co. manages a variety of apartment buildings in Colorado and Oklahoma, including the Oakwood Apartments in Castle Rock, Colo., south of Denver.
According to KUSA in Denver, Ross recently sent out a directive to tenants and Castle Rock that "firearms and weapons" are no longer allowed on Oakwood property, and that residents must either remove them or move out.
The station reported that Ross Management personnel dodged questions about the new policy. A KUSA legal analyst pointed out that courts usually give landlords leeway to regulate their properties, but that as gun ownership is a constitutional right, Ross was probably on shaky ground here.

I would hope so! Can you imagine a landlord trying to restrict freedom of speech or religion on his property? A legal challenge to this policy should be immediate and pressed all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary. In the meantime, expressing your attitude to the management might help it regain touch with what it means to live in America.
