Firearms historian T. Logan Metesh has co-authored and edited two new books that will begin shipping next week, with signed copies available directly from him. “The World Encyclopedia of Pistols, Revolvers, and Submachine Guns” offers a comprehensive history and illustrations of firearms dating back to the 14th century, while “The World Encyclopedia of Rifles and Machine Guns” covers arms from medieval times to the present day. Each book features full technical specifications for a wide range of weapons, from historical models to modern firearms. Gun enthusiasts will find these guides invaluable for their detailed insights, extensive photographic illustrations, and thorough coverage of notable firearms, making them essential resources for understanding the evolution of arms.
Originally released in 2008 (“Pistols…”) and 2012 (“Rifles…”), the books had become woefully outdated at 16 and 12 years old, respectively. To restore their relevance, Metesh was brought in to breathe new life into the material. He took the original manuscripts and edited the existing content as well as updated it by adding new information, including additional guns, facts, and entire countries, along with relevant photos. Each book spans more than 250 pages and covers an average of 500 guns.
