ROCK SPRINGS, WY — July 23, 2025 — Though the KelTec Rock Springs facility has been steadily producing the revolutionary KelTec PR-5.7pistol for some time, the official ribbon cutting ceremony marked a major milestone. KelTec released a short video highlighting the excitement and energy of the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
“This building is more than bricks and machines,” said Adrian Kellgren, Director of Industrial Production. “It’s where the next generation of firearms takes shape. And it was an honor to finally cut the ribbon in front of the people who helped make it happen.”
The event drew NRA CEO and EVP, Doug Hamlin along with WY Governor Mark Gordon and Rock Springs Mayor Max Mickelson, both of whom praised the KelTec investment in local workforce development and its alignment with Wyoming’s values of independence and self-reliance. Engineered and built at the new facility, the KelTec PR-5.7 features a lightweight rotary barrel system, a unique top-loading design using stripper clips, and a 20+1 round capacity. At just $399 MSRP, it offers unmatched performance and accessibility.
Shipping since the beginning of February, the KelTec PR-5.7 is now entering full production stride, with increased output helping meet growing demand across the country. As the plant scales and more jobs are created, the Rock Springs facility represents more than just an expansion, it’s a launchpad for the next era of KelTec innovation.
