The Glock series of semi-automatic firearms are renowned for their reliability, durability and ease of maintenance. But in the era of the modern sporting rifle, shooters have come to expect a certain level of customization, and ease of customization of their firearms.
Along these same lines, one the aspects of the Glock series of semi-automatic firearms that I’ve always had a issue with, is their use of a proprietary front sight. Where the majority of handguns today utilize a dovetailed sight, Glock employs a small post secured by a special nut.
The tool to remove and install this front sight is a special one, and serves only that purpose. Which is why the engineers at Real Avid created their new 4-in-1 Ultimate Glock tool.
As its name suggests, the 4-in-1 Ultimate Glock Tool combines four handy tools necessary for maintenance and modification of Glock handguns. The first portion is a 3/32” pin punch for removing the backstrap pins on generation 4 and above pistols.

The second and third tools are designed for adjusting aftermarket rear sights, and consist of a small allen head driver and a flathead screwdriver. But it’s the last tool that is the must-have portion of the tool: a 3/16” hex driver. Plus, all these tools are combined together in a hard-to-lose Swiss army knife-esque configuration. It’s a clever idea, and a critcal tool for Glock owners.
The Real Avid 4-in-1 Tool retails for $24.99 and is available now at www.RealAvid.com .
