Trump DOJ Stands Idly by as States Destroy the Second Amendment

The race to establish which Democrat-led vestige of an American state leads in subjugation, totalitarianism, and treason is heating up. Virginia is going full Gestapo as citizens brace for legislation so extreme that confiscation of firearms and magazines in common use is on the menu, while Colorado seeks to force serialization and regulation of gun parts, starting with barrels. We’ve all seen the traitors scoff with contempt as they gaslight Americans, telling us they’re not coming for our guns, but those of us who know better saw this coming, and history tells us exactly where it’s going. 

Of deeper concern is where fascist lawmakers receive their inspiration as they seek to conquer the American citizen. Any person of humble literacy can tell you that their ideas are not derived from the United States Constitution. Take the regulation of barrels, an idea California has been kicking around, and one that I am sure Gavin Newsom will be envious of if his Colorado comrades beat him to the punch. Laws such as this exist in Australia, Canada, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, places where it’s safe to say most red-blooded Americans would find undesirable, whether they are willing to admit it or not. 

These are the baby steps that lead to total domination over a society that once boasted freedom as its core initiative. Americans need to pull their heads from the proverbial sand and realize that the continued erosion of our Second Amendment will ultimately have us making comparisons to China, North Korea, Russia, and Somalia. 

Most disturbing of all is the Trump administration’s lack of response to this metastasizing disease of states ripping up the Second Amendment while Washington, DC looks the other way. However, this is nothing new as was pointed out in David Codrea’s 2018 article entitled, Where is Trump as States Reduce RKBA to Sub-Foreign Levels? It seems the President’s words, “Fight, fight, fight!” mean now, more than ever, that he is fighting to chip away a lot more of our Second Amendment, or at least stand by as the Bolsheviks do it for him. I recently wrote One Big Beautiful Update, Part 1, detailing the Department of Justice’s challenge to the One Big Beautiful Lawsuit, which seeks to remove silencers, short-barreled firearms, and AOWs from the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). President Trump and the ongoing actions, and inactions, by his DOJ are diametrically opposed to what he promised Americans in return for their votes.

Where is that plan of action that was due 30 days after the President’s Executive Order, Protecting Second Amendment Rights, dated February 7, 2025? Where is the DOJ on these grave violations of Americans’ gun rights? Why is the subversion of our Constitution so commonplace that lawmakers feel free to adopt infringements from countries that do not recognize a God-given right to defend life and liberty from tyranny?
